LEGION RELEASE DATE NOT SPECIFIED WHILE A NEW WAY TO ENTER WOW HIDDEN ZONE HAS BEEN DISCOVERED
In World of Warcraft, you will notice that around the northern shores of the Eastern Kingdoms, there is a zone that we can see on Azeroth’s map.
However, compared to all the other zones, it appears to be unmarked and it can only be accessed through some rather tricky ways. The purpose of this tiny area is unknown but speculations suggest that over the years, it was supposed to be the lush forest region of the Quel’thalas.
This was a Vanilla Zone that later got introduced in the game as the starting zone for the Blood Elves during The Burning Crusade Expansion. The plans regarding this zone since the Quel’thalas, was later scrapped and it remained as an unfinished chunk of land that was unreachable by the players.
However, as you might expect, this didn’t put a stop to the ambitions of explorers who wanted to reach this area and HeelvsBabyface’s clearly proves that. Anyone can go there with a series of tricky moves even without utilizing any form of private servers or trying anything unconventional.
You can reach this area through the Eastern Plaguelands’ Stratholme dungeon but check out the method for yourself or the fun could end up being spoilt! The video is a perfect tease for everybody. Reach this zone and you will notice a complete area full of missing textures, invisible walls and placeholders.
Right now, the leaves are turning and the weather is finally cooling down and a result, you can expect the citizens of Azeroth to celebrate the autumn season as well. There are various events that celebrate the fall and all of them are back. There are further recurring favorites all designed for the month of October.
WoW players can keep enjoying in various Brewfest activities that occurs throughout the first week of October and is followed by Hallow’s end which occurs later this month. At the moment, Brewfest will continue all throughout the first week of October.
Players have the chance to visit places like Orgimmar or Ironforge in order to complete quests, participate in various events and also keep racing rams during the event.
You can purchase things like Toy kegs, banners, and backpacks from the event’s Brewfest prize tokens. You can also purchase Battle Pets using these tokens. They include the Pint-Sized Pink Pachyderm, the Wolpertinger, and the Stout Alemental.
Meanwhile, the Swift Brewfest Ram and the Great Brewfest Kodo mounts can only be purchased during the Brewfest, according to their references on the official site.
Fast forward a bit and on Hallow’s End, players will be able to celebrate the Halloween Holiday on 18th October. Players have the chance to horde the event’s currency which is Tricky Treats while carrying on with their trick and treat around Azeroth.
Through these treats, people can purchase a number of Hallow’s End battle pets which include the Feline Familiar or pug disguises, Halloween wands and much more. Keep in mind that this event is also the only way through which you can acquire The Horseman’s Reins and from the Headless Horseman in Scarlet Monastery, you can unlock a ghastly mount as loot.
In other news, players have been waiting a long time for World of Warcraft: Legion and Blizzard Entertainment has been releasing new details but in a very slow pace. According to Realty Today, the upcoming title has teased fans for a long time and furthermore, it is said that Legion has been under-development for about 3 years now.
The game director, Tom Chilton said that they go through multiple expansions at a time and there was a certain point when they were trying to decide the order in which they should come first. They finally decided that Warlords should be coming first, followed by Legion next.
According to Tom Chilton, “we have known what we are going to do on core level since two and half three years ago or so now. It was around 2012 we were talking about that.”
There is no specified release date for World of Warcraft Legion but there are continuous patches and updates which keep coming before the title finally gets launched. Fans have the chance to keep themselves posted on the further additions to the game.
With the Bonus events about to start soon, WoW players are excited about the upcoming Hallow’s end. There are many things to be seen and done and a lot of players are apparently getting quite restless.
With the newly introduced things, players will have a lot of goodies to look into and purchase them if they like. On 5th October, the Darkmoon Faire will return with, carnival games, weekly crafting questsand a chance to buy pets, heirloom items, mounts, toys, and additional items.

World of Warcraft: Legions Classes and Professions to Get Some Make-Over
Game developer Blizzard Entertainment has committed to make the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) “World of Warcraft” an even bigger and better video game with its upcoming expansion pack called “World of Warcraft: Legions.”
The expansion pack is expected to get some enhancements and tweaks and accordingly, in order to do such, certain classes and professions included in the game’s expansion pack, will get some make-over, reports KpopStarz.
It was actually Jonathan LeCraft, senior game designer for “World of Warcraft” who shared the details of the enhancements and tweaks during the Dragoncon.
LeCraft disclosed that the second hero class Demon Hunters, which will be integral parts of “World of Warcraft: Legions” will start appearing at Level 98 while the Death Knights, which was previously reported that it will not have any update, will be seen at the beginning of Level 55.
The Blizzard Entertainment executive also said that the Demon Hunters will have a short transformation with inner demon visuals and will be the only class in the game to be able to wield glaives. It added that the class’ double jump ability will not be disabled anywhere either.
Blizzard Entertainment is in dire need of getting back the huge number of subscriptions that the video game has lost since the start of the year and it seems that it has found the right instrument to do just that with the expansion pack “World of Warcraft: Legions.”
Time is money in the game
The goblins are the ugly face of capitalism in the MMORPG “World of Warcraft” and these creatures are actually willing to take any gambit if it will make a profit with little regard for their own survival, notes the A.V. Club.
But if a player spends any time interacting with them at the banks and business, these goblins will run, but they will happily share their defining philosophy which is ‘Time is money, friend.’
The game developer is capitalizing on the mantra of the goblins by using the same tagline when it introduced in April the “World of Warcraft” Tokens and gave its estimated 5 million subscribers worldwide a way to buy with real money, which is a digital manifestation of one month’s worth of game time.
Such game time can actually be sold by gamers to other players through in-game auction houses. Having such feature in “World of Warcraft” effectively enables players to exchange real-world currency for the gold used to pay for goods and services within the game and set the price for gold through the in-game auctions.
The addition of the “World of Warcraft” Tokens has made the game’s economy even more complex and tied to that of the real world than ever before. Players have been treating WOW Tokens like the commodity they are. Social media pages of “WOW” actually help monitor the fluctuation in Token prices, which help inform players when is a good time to buy or sell them might be.
Arresting drop in subscriptions
Blizzard Entertainment has laid down the groundwork for its major effort to arrest the significant drop in the subscriptions that “World of Warcraft” experienced at the start of the year. It is obvious that the game developer has set its sight on recovering lost gamer subscription even as it strives to entice new ones in the process.
One of its immediate initiatives towards such end is to release updates or patches to the game, meant to bring new features and improve the game further. Blizzard released Patch 6.2.0 officially titled “Fury of Hellfire” on June 23 which contained Tanaan Jungle and the Shipyard and provided players with a host of new gameplay options.
Some fans thought that “Prepare for Flying” was to be the game’s Patch 6.2.1, but it turned out that those were just wishful thinking as it seems that Blizzard Entertainment has skipped the update.
On September 1, the game developer released Patch 6.2.2 officially titled “Draenor Pathfinder: Prepare for Flying,” giving gamers who already have the Draenor Pathfinder achievement to take the skies of Draenor.
The update is now available for testing on the Public Test Realms (PTR) where gamers who shall take part will be able to try out the patch on live realms. They can also provide feedbacks so that Blizzard Entertainment can take note of those to further improve the patch and make the game really entertaining.
However, the biggest initiative that Blizzard is planning for the game is the development of its expansion pack “World of Warcraft: Legions” which it announced during the Gamescom 2015 held on August 5 to 9 at Cologne, Germany.
Since its announcement last month “World of Warcraft: Legion” has become one of the most awaited strategy games that the generation is to come across.
The expansion brings a variety of new features to the “World of Warcraft” MMORPG for existing players to enjoy and to entice new players to join in the fun.
The “World of Warcraft: Legion,” which will be the sixth expansion to arrive since the release of the “World of Warcraft” game in 2004, will be bringing new challenges to combat for long-time players.

World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor now has flying mounts
Despite Blizzard initially claiming they wouldn’t make an appearance, flying mounts have now been added to World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor courtesy of its most recent patch, 6.2.1. Along with being very pretty and fancy, flying mounts make many tasks a lot easier- although to acquire one you will need to do some work.
Specifically there is one achievement you will need to acquire – the Draenor Pathfinder achievement which was added in patch 6.2. Doing so requires acquiring five other achievements, which will probably take you a couple of weeks to accomplish – along with exploring all of Draenor you will need to collect 100 treasures, complete the entire storyline, finish 12 specific Assault dailies and become revered with Tanaan Jungle’s three factions.
Once completed you will gain the Draenor Pathfinder achievement, unlocking flying mounts for all of your characters – even if you begin a new one. Embedded below is a video guide explaining in more detail how to acquire the achievement, courtesy of Wowhead.

World of Warcraft Legion Release Date Not Possible for 2015
World of Warcraft Legion as the sixth expansion of the MMORPG game has something new to offer to their diehard fans. However, there might be a possibility of not coming out this year sadly.
According to recent news, the game developer has not yet fully decided whether the game will be really released this year since they have not yet fully announced to the public the official release date of Legion. But they have said before that the fans could have their options to have the game subscribed ahead of time.
It might also come out by later 2016 around November as stated in some news, but what the fans have to check is the full announcement from the game developer and keep their selves updated to the upcoming news thereafter. It was mentioned that the primary reason why the release for World of Warcraft Legion was delayed is because of the stemming of the flood of abandoned subscriptions that resulted to a down of 40 per cent just this January this year.
Albeit its delay, there are several things that the World of Warcraft fans should standby. Based from PC Advisor, the trailer released prior to this breaking news hinted that there will be "a pretty apropos description for the expansion." This means that they should check out how the Burning Legion will invade the poor little Azeroth causing them to stand together as one and save the entire world.
Next thing that fans should know is how this World of Warcraft Legion expansion will bring exciting experiences to the entire gaming. As said, to prevent boredom from playing World of Warcraft [wasting monthly payments for these], the game developers thought about having new challenges to include in the game such as the improvement of the combat for those long-time players and raise the level cap to 110.
One of the most thrilling things to watch out for is that Demon Hunter will also be introduced as the new hero for the game. According to the news, Demon Hunter will be offering "spectral sight, metamorphosis and unrivalled mobility."
World of Warcraft game was also rumored to have a sequel as mentioned by some recent news. Game developers have not confirmed this yet, however, this is what fans should also update aside from the huge expansion that Blizzard will be making for WoW in general.
Blizzard, the game developer for World of Warcraft already made its early announcement last year [before 2014 ended] that they will release something bigger and better World of Warcraft to offer for their fans around the globe. Let's see what they have installed and prepared for them. Right now, there are no confirmations about several rumors as some hoax news mentioned online.

ACTIVISION’S REVENUE GROWS DESPITE LOSING SUBSCRIBERS FOR ‘WORLD OF WARCRAFT’
Activision Blizzard’s Chief Executive Officer Bobby Kotick stated, “Our strategic focus on expanding our franchise portfolio with captivating and original new intellectual property, innovating on new platforms, and expanding into new geographies is reflected in our results. We outperformed our Q2 targets and last year’s results on revenues, digital growth, and earnings per share.”
“These strong results and the excitement for our future games have driven us to raise our full-year outlook,” he said. “Our audience size and the total amount of time people spend with our franchises continue to grow. In the second quarter, our monthly active users grew by 35% year-over-year, and the time our communities spent playing our games grew by 25% year-over-year.”
The publisher’s net revenue growth occurred despite subscribers for World of Warcraft, Activision Blizzard’s massively multiplayer online role-playing game, being at its lowest since the fourth quarter of 2005. World of Warcraft peaked at 12 million subscribers during 2010, but has since fallen to a mere 5.6 million.
However, Activision Blizzard’s share price has also recently hit an all-time high and sits at $28.94 on NASDAQ. This correlates with the success of its other franchises, like 2014 first-person shooter Destiny.

Death Knight Beats World Of Warcraft's Strongest World Boss By Himself
One brave Death Knight vs the 40 million hit points of Supreme Lord Kazzak, a powerful raid boss designed for a 40-man group, sitting on top of Tanaan Jungle. |
Raegwyn, a player who’s been focusing on soloing powerful WoW NPC‘s for a while now, was able to beat Kazzak after more than 20 tries and not because it was a challenging encounter, but since it’s a world boss, random people would join and do damage as well. The loot Kazzak drops is pretty cool right now so you can’t blame them.
This Boss is very challenging. The Challenging Part is that people tend to come and attack it in the last few % which leads to me having to start all over again. (had to make more than 20 trys just because of that reason God Dammit)Jokes aside, I tried this Boss on PTR already and everything went so damn smooth that i thought its killable right away. But i didn´t think it would be possible to solo down 40 million health without random people joining until like weeks after release. Patience proofed me wrong :)
As you can see it´s a simple Tank and Spank Fight which doesnt require much aside from using CDs whenever you dont have the Mark and some Death Strike Timing when you have it.
Mark Of Doom + Death Knight Healing have just perfect synergy and make you basically unkillable.
Here’s the 15-minute-long fight compressed in a 4-minute video:

World of Warcraft Movie to Hit the Screen with a Delay!
The initial announcement for the “World of Warcraft” movie was met with a lot of excitement, but unfortunately it seems like fans will have to wait a little longer to actually see the film. At first, the production was supposed to be finished and released on March 11, 2016, but now it’s been pushed back by a few months and is coming on June 10, 2016.
This was confirmed by director Duncan Jones on his official Twitter account, where he revealed that the decision was coming from above and he wasn’t actually involved in it. Apparently, the reason for the delay is that the movie is going to be a summer release, making it unsuitable for the previously planned date in March.

World of Warcraft moves closer to free-to-play
World of Warcraft is set to launch real-money transactions and the ability to play without paying for a subscription, as developers Blizzard move to position the game against free-to-play competitors.
The company is introducing “WoW tokens”, which can be bought from other players for in-game gold, or from Blizzard for real money, and exchanged for 30 days of game time. That currently costs £9.99 on Blizzard’s Battle.net store, although it drops to £8.69 if bought in bulk. The changes mean players can for the first time buy in-game gold from Blizzard indirectly .
At the same time, a player with more time than money can now use gold collected while playing the game to buy themselves a longer subscription, without having to spend real money on anything other than the initial purchase of the game.
While the change doesn’t quite make World of Warcraft free-to-play, like so many of its competitors, it does open the prospect of a renewed increase in subscriber numbers, halting the long-term decline seen by the game in recent years. The model is largely identical to that seen in popular space simulation EVE Online.
Both games limit one particular transaction, however: users cannot make real-world cash by farming in-game currencies.
Blizzard says: “The WoW Token was created to give players with lots of extra gold the option to use it to help cover their subscription cost, and give those who want to purchase gold a way to do so from fellow players through a secure, easy-to-use system. The Token will be making its debut in an upcoming patch.”
As it stands, there is a thriving, if banned, market for in-game currencies on World of Warcraft. Gold farmers, largely players in developing nations, amass large quantities of the currency and sell it online (typically at valuations of around $10 for 10,000 gold pieces). But Blizzard is continually trying to put a cap on the traders, and there are growing concerns amongst players about the ethics of buying from such farms.
A 2011 Guardian investigation revealed that Chinese labour camp prisoners were being forced to harvest Warcraft gold in nights, after a day of breaking rocks and digging trenches in real coalmines.
“Prison bosses made more money forcing inmates to play games than they do forcing people to do manual labour,” one former prisoner told the Guardian. “There were 300 prisoners forced to play games. We worked 12-hour shifts in the camp. I heard them say they could earn 5,000–6,000rmb [£470–570] a day. We didn’t see any of the money. The computers were never turned off.”

Destiny has 16m players, Call of Duty in 2015 – six things we learned from Activision's financials
Call
of Duty publisher Activision Blizzard boasted record sales for 2014 and beat
market estimates for its fiscal quarter ending 31 December, but share value fell
after the company announced it was unlikely to meet revenue projections for
2015.
In an investor call on Thursday evening, adjusted sales of $2.2bn were
revealed for the last quarter, beating estimates of $2.1bn, thanks to strong
sales for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Destiny. The company projected 2015
earnings of $4.14bn for 2015, lower than the $4.4bn it previously estimated.
Activision blamed weakened foreign currencies, higher tax rates and investment
into Blizzard’s free-to-play online battle game Heroes of the Storm.
Here’s what else we learned.
Bobby Kotick also revealed that the culminative earnings for the Call of Duty franchise now stand at over $11bn. So yeah, Call of Duty isn’t going anywhere.
The company is promising an “innovative” new title in the series this year, which is good news for fans, but bad news for parents: if there are significant new features it’ll probably mean a lack of backward compatibility with the current Portal of Power peripheral that connects the game to the toys. Hence, new starter pack. Oh Activision.
In January, Activision launched an open beta of Call of Duty Online, a free-to-play version of the hit shooter, specifically targeted at the Chinese market, where the freemium model dominates. The game is co-published by China’s Tencent, which runs several of the regions leading free-to-play role-playing games.
The company’s free card-battling game Hearthstone has also performed well with 25m registered players. Activision didn’t give separate revenue figures for the game, which makes money from microtransactions; it did, however, claim that, combined, Destiny and Hearthstone had generated $850m in revenue.
Anyway, this boosted line-up will include Blizzard’s two newcomers Heroes of the Storm and Overwatch, a six-vs-six online shooter clearly aimed at the growing eSports market. What else? Well, we can expect at least one new title – or maybe even a return of a favourite legacy series for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One era. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and Guitar Hero are both rumoured. We’d love to see Interstate 76, though: the apocalyptic road adventure from the 90s would look astonishing on current machines. Well, if there’s money in it, Activision will sniff it out.
Here’s what else we learned.
Treyarch is answering the Call of Duty in 2015
Not announced during the investor call but revealed concurrently on Twitter, developer Treyarch confirmed that it is developing 2015’s Call of Duty instalment. The creator of the Black Ops titles didn’t mention whether its game would be a continuation of that series, but considering Black Ops 2 remains the most successful title in Call of Duty history that seems pretty likely.Bobby Kotick also revealed that the culminative earnings for the Call of Duty franchise now stand at over $11bn. So yeah, Call of Duty isn’t going anywhere.
Destiny has over 16m registered users
It was a successful launch for Bungie’s online sci-fi shooter, even though the ambitious project received mixed reviews when it arrived in September. Activision claimed that data from market research company NPD made it “the most successful launch of a new video game franchise in history”. The mix of role-playing and FPS elements has certainly proved compelling: active players are averaging three hours of alien blasting a day. Three hours. There are no figures on how much of that time was spent hanging around outside the loot cave.Skylanders is still ridiculously successful
The “toys to life” series, which combines kid-friendly role-playing adventures with compatible action figures, is another ongoing success. So far, Activision has sold 240m Skylanders toys, outperforming all other action figure lines in 2014. The series has made over $3bn so far.The company is promising an “innovative” new title in the series this year, which is good news for fans, but bad news for parents: if there are significant new features it’ll probably mean a lack of backward compatibility with the current Portal of Power peripheral that connects the game to the toys. Hence, new starter pack. Oh Activision.
The World of Warcraft ship has steadied
The long-running massively multiplayer online game has been losing players over the past two years, but thanks to a boost in interest delivered by new expansion pack Warlords of Draenor (which sold over 3.3m copies within 24 hours of its November launch), it ended the year with over 10m subscribers. Considering the influx of free-to-play alternatives, that’s impressive form for the ageing MMORPG warlord.Digital and free-to-play are the big growth areas
Like its rival publishers Electronic Arts and Ubisoft, Activision is moving away from a concentration on boxed-copy game sales and toward digital distribution. This includes full downloadable games on smartphones, tablets and consoles, and extra downloadable content for big titles like Call of Duty and Destiny. Indeed, the company boasted record digital sales in 2014, making up 46% of its revenue, and over the winter quarter it made $685 million from digital content. Demand for Call of Duty map packs doubled in 2014, and its likely that Destiny’s expansion packs – the already released Dark Below, and forthcoming House of Wolves – will provide a financial boost, especially at their £20 price point.
There are new “franchises” to come
“This year we expect to expand our leading franchise portfolio to ten, up from five franchises at the beginning of 2014,” said Activision Blizzard CEO, Bobby Kotick. “Franchise” is business speak for “games”, FYI.Anyway, this boosted line-up will include Blizzard’s two newcomers Heroes of the Storm and Overwatch, a six-vs-six online shooter clearly aimed at the growing eSports market.
